Adamus Resources Limited has welcomed the government’s decision to develop a 12-month roadmap aimed at resolving challenges surrounding the company and restoring the Adamus mine to sustainable operations.

The company described the outcome of a recent meeting at the Presidency as a “significant and constructive step forward” towards securing the future of the mine and safeguarding the interests of its employees, contractors, suppliers, host communities and other stakeholders.

Under the agreed framework, Adamus Resources, the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources and the Minerals Commission will work together to develop and implement the 12-month turnaround roadmap.

The roadmap is expected to provide a structured framework for addressing the challenges affecting the company while establishing a pathway towards the sustainable resumption of mining operations.

Adamus Resources said the collaborative approach demonstrates a shared commitment among the key stakeholders to finding practical and sustainable solutions to the issues confronting the mine.

The company also expressed confidence that the process would help protect livelihoods and economic activities linked to the operation, particularly those of employees, contractors, suppliers and communities within the mine’s area of influence.

The Adamus mine has significant importance to its host communities and other stakeholders who depend on the operation for employment, business opportunities and other economic benefits.
